Baltic Focus
Strengthening the Ties Between Baltic & Nordic Cinema
This year, New Nordic Films spotlights the film industries of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. This initiative, undertaken in collaboration with the Estonian Film Institute, the National Film Centre of Latvia, the Lithuanian Film Centre, and New Nordic Films, provides a unique platform for Baltic filmmakers to showcase their projects, connect with Nordic industry professionals, and for Nordic filmmakers to explore new opportunities for co-production.
"In recent years, the Baltic countries have emerged as a dynamic force in the international film industry, showcasing remarkable growth and a strong global outlook. With Baltic Focus, we aim to create a platform that fosters deeper collaboration and co-productions between the Nordic and Baltic film industries." – Gyda Velvin Myklebust, Head of New Nordic Films.
