The Nordic film market and co-production market, New Nordic Films, has once again received support from the EU’s Creative Europe MEDIA program.

The support is granted for a two-year period, covering 2026–2027.

– The support from Creative Europe is a significant recognition that New Nordic Films is in the European top league as a film market and serves as an effective hub for co-productions within the Nordic region and between the Nordics and Europe. This invaluable support, together with contributions from Nordic Film & TV Fund, Norwegian Film Institute, and Filmkraft Rogaland, makes it possible to establish a significant film market at an European scale. Our market facilitates valuable circulation of Nordic films, increases co-productions with Europe, promotes Nordic talents, and fosters greater European collaboration and exchange, says Gyda Velvin Myklebust, head of New Nordic Films.
