Two leading Nordic AI experts are open to meeting and sharing ideas. Whether you are an experienced AI pro or a curious newbie who wants to check out new possibilities and learn about how AI can enhance your workflow, book your one-on-one meeting at the Haugesund Library on Thursday, August 21st, from 16:00–17:45.

JAN CHRISTIAN FRUGÅRD is a director with over 25 years of experience who has developed AI workflows through practical testing in his own projects for the company Kreativ KI AS. As a director, he understands the daily challenges filmmakers face and has explored how AI tools can support creative processes. He has tested AI solutions for script development, research, planning, and visualization. He can share concrete experiences on which tools work — and the critical mistakes many make with unique sources such as film scripts. His approach is to identify practical AI applications that fit into existing workflows. Jan Christian is open to meeting anyone who wants to learn more about realistic possibilities for AI implementation and shares lessons learned from his own experiments with different tools and approaches.

ALEKSI HYVÄRINEN

Aleksi is a Finnish film producer, writer, and co-founder of The Alchemist (founded in 2023), a Nordic creative studio developing custom AI solutions for retailers, producing AI-first advertising, and building a slate of AI-driven feature films. With almost 20 years of experience in the film industry, his credits include the international horror hit THE TWIN (2022), released in 34 countries, the Finnish box office success JINGLE BELLS (2022), and the Scandinavian horror standout LAKE BODOM (2016). His recent co-productions include THERE’S SOMETHING IN THE BARN (2023), PARANOIA (2024), and the Emmy- and BAFTA-nominated Netflix documentary HOLD YOUR BREATH: THE ICE DIVE (2022). His latest project, ELLA AND FRIENDS: OPERATION OTTER (2025), will premiere in Finnish cinemas in October 2025.
