Longing for Today is a fable-like tale told through a girl’s dreams, memories and traumas as she tries to find her own way in life despite horrific incidents in this WWII drama.
Knut Erik Jensen survived the Second World War. He was evacuated in autumn 1944. Germans burnt down and destroyed all the infrastructure in his county of Finnmark. He was a refugee in the German war barracks from 1945 till 1957, but he found his way through a university education in History, French, Russian – and film. He tries to understand why mankind “has to go to war”.
