Faroese theatre legend Birita Mohr is living with severe Alzheimer's disease, but her son Búi refuses to believe that his connection to the stage is gone. He decides to stage King Lear with his mother in the lead role and at the same time document the process. As the family prepares for the premiere, questions of care and ethics arise. This is a personal portrait of a family trying to find a common language when memories fade, but their love for the theatre remains.
