Young Gerda embarks on a daring quest to find her missing friend Kai. Along the way, she befriends a gander, a horse, a reindeer, and a kind witch—unaware that the evil Snow Queen and her gargoyle apprentice Louie are watching. Kai is held captive in a distant ice palace in Norway’s frozen north. Together, the friends must outwit the Snow Queen and escape home in time for the happiest holiday ever.
