When Christina returns as a teacher to the school where she herself was once a student, she carries a past she thought she had left behind. In the classroom, the troubled 16-year-old Mathilde is waiting — a girl who has lived in a residential care home since her mother’s death. Their confrontation sets off a power struggle that quickly grows beyond the walls of the classroom. Harassment, secrets, and lies pull them both toward a darkness neither of them can control. Mathilde fights to hold together a world that is falling apart around her, while Christina struggles not to become the person, she once was.
