Mikael, a depressed young man, attempts suicide, but gets interrupted by the older countryman Einar, who by chance is out hunting in the forest. Mikael reluctantly accepts an invitation back to Einar ´s cottage.

An Unusual Hangout is a dark comedy about suicide and mental health, particularly about how men suppress their emotions and struggle to express themselves.
